Shunya Publications — Ethics

We are an editorial and production partner. We do not create or claim authorship of research. Our role is clarity, compliance, accessibility, and discoverability—while authors remain responsible for the originality, accuracy, and ethics of their work.

What We Do

  • Manuscript assessment; developmental, line, and copy editing; proofreading
  • Templates, references, equations, tables, figure captions, alt text
  • Cover design & interior typesetting; ePub/Kindle & print-ready PDF production
  • ISBN assignment; metadata (BISAC/keywords/abstracts); distribution setup
  • Pre-submission checks for scope, guidelines, ethics, and permissions
  • Administrative files (cover letter, declarations) using author-supplied content
  • APC coordination and post-acceptance proof support (on request)

What We Don’t Do

  • Ghost-writing of academic research for credit or authorship
  • Designing experiments, collecting or analyzing data for undisclosed attribution
  • Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, or duplicate submission
  • Selling or brokering authorship, or promising acceptance

Ethics-first: no ghost-writing, no authorship brokering, no undisclosed research.

Author Responsibilities

  • All work is original (or properly licensed) and accurately represents data and findings
  • All co-authors approve the final manuscript and authorship order
  • Human/animal ethics approvals and consent statements are complete where required
  • Permissions for third-party materials are secured by the authors
  • Conflicts of interest and funding sources are fully disclosed

Transparency & Compliance

Data & AI Use

  • We may use quality-assured AI tools for language suggestions, formatting, and metadata drafting
  • No AI is used to fabricate content or undisclosed analysis
  • Authors must disclose any AI tools used in research or writing per venue policies
  • Sensitive data should be de-identified or excluded by the authors before engagement

Misconduct, Corrections & Appeals

  • Suspected misconduct → we pause work and advise contacting the venue or institution
